Meet Our New Lead Pastor, Teaching

Rev. Dr. Shawn Winters

We’re excited to share that Shawn Winters has been approved by an overwhelming majority of our members to serve as Walnut Hill’s next Lead Pastor, Teaching. As we consider Shawn’s personality, giftings and experience, we see a pastor who will faithfully preach the Word of God, develop an impactful discipleship culture, foster a fresh sense of hospitality and community in the congregation, and invest in future leaders. We are thankful to God for His wisdom, guidance and blessing throughout the search process and for His call on Shawn’s life to lead Walnut Hill into the next season of ministry alongside Adam and Craig.  

Through a six month long search process, Slingshot received more than 100 applicants for this position and Shawn was unanimously presented to the Board of Elders and was then unanimously approved to present him to our church membership to vote to affirm him. Shawn will begin his new role this summer.
